Hi, I’m Angie Hall, but around here, Mama Hall works just fine.

I’m a Southern mom, grandma, lifelong storyteller, creator, and the person behind Journal Prompt Junction.

I believe some of the best moments in life start with one simple question.

Not necessarily a deep question. Not something that requires twenty minutes of soul-searching.

Just a question that makes someone laugh, remember something, tell a story, or say:

“Wait. I didn’t know that about you.”

That’s what Journal Prompt Junction is all about.

It Started With a Blank Page

Traditional journaling never really worked for me.

When my therapist suggested journaling, I’d look at that blank page and think, Well…what exactly am I supposed to write?

Then I discovered prompts.

One question gave me somewhere to start.

But I also found that a lot of guided journals felt too serious, too complicated, or just plain awkward. I didn’t want journaling to feel like homework, and I definitely didn’t want every question to feel like a therapy session.

I wanted it to feel natural. Fun. Like something real people might actually do.

Eventually I had another thought:

What if two people answered the same question?

That’s where the idea behind Pass-It-Back™ began.

One Prompt. Two Voices. Real Connection.

With a Pass-It-Back™ journal, two people answer the same prompt, then see what the other person wrote.

That’s the part I love.

Maybe your answers are exactly the same. Maybe they’re completely different. Maybe somebody’s answer makes you laugh.

Or maybe one simple question leads to a story you’ve somehow never heard, even though you’ve known that person your entire life.

The journal gives you somewhere to start.

The conversation is the good part.

Made for Real Life

I don’t create products for picture-perfect families sitting around a beautifully styled table with unlimited time and absolutely nobody asking what’s for dinner.

I create for real life.

Busy parents. Distracted teenagers. Grandparents who want to know more about their grandchildren. Adult siblings with decades of stories between them. Couples who think they already know everything about each other. Friends who can go from ridiculous to meaningful in about thirty seconds.

Sometimes you have an afternoon.

Sometimes you have five minutes.

Both count.

You don’t need perfect handwriting. You don’t need to answer every prompt. You don’t need to complete a journal in order.

And you definitely don’t need homework disguised as family bonding.

More Than Journals

Pass-It-Back™ shared journals are at the heart of Journal Prompt Junction, but they’re not the only things you’ll find here.

I create printable journals, memory books, conversation starters, games, activities, keepsakes, and other tools designed to help people talk, laugh, share stories, learn something new about each other, and preserve memories while there’s still someone around to tell the story.

Some products are thoughtful.

Some are sentimental.

Some are just plain fun.

Because not every conversation has to change your life.

Sometimes laughing together is enough.

And because most JPJ products are printable, you can use them in a way that works for your life. Put the pages in a binder. Bring them to dinner. Pack them for a road trip. Mail something to someone you love.

There’s something special about paper, too.

Handwriting changes. Kids grow up. Answers change. People doodle in the margins.

Those little imperfections become part of the story.

How I Create

Every product I make starts with the people who might use it.

Who are they?

What might they want to know about each other?

What would make them laugh?

What might make someone look up from the page and say, “Okay, tell me more about that.”

I write more prompts than I need and cut the ones that feel forced. I read them out loud. I print the journals myself and flip through them.

And I always come back to the same question:

Would I actually use this with someone I love?

If the answer is no, it’s not ready.

A Little About Me

Family is at the center of pretty much everything I do.

I’m a mom and grandma, storyteller, entrepreneur, product designer, recipe sharer, music lover, community builder, and chronic creator of things I think should exist.

I like useful things.

I like funny stories.

I like real conversations.

And I have very little patience for making something complicated just so it looks impressive.

Journal Prompt Junction brings together a lot of the things I care about most: family, stories, creativity, laughter, memories, and finding simple ways to stay connected to the people we love.

You don’t need perfect circumstances to make a memory.

Messy handwriting is welcome. Half-finished answers are fine. Skipping questions is allowed.
